The Starving Artist initiative empowers people through creative arts, putting lived-in experiences at the forefront of systemic reform. We aim to promote authentic and vulnerable engagement discourse and bring about change within current systems platforming people centered solutions. Our focus is on championing emerging voices from the creative arts and teaching individuals to explore their experiences and express themselves creatively. We cover a wide range of topics including mental well-being, eating disorders, preventable diseases, women's rights, migrant experiences, and climate action. Through artistic voices, exhibitions, publications, workshops, and more. We connect artists, individuals, and key players to collaborate and drive transformation.
art unites for unstoppable social change + transformation through collaboration, advocacy + action.

Currently we offer four different sets that offer art-based prompts and reflective questions to help people process and engage with their experiences. Some themes include voices above water for climate-wellbeing, the migrant voice for exploration of affects and impacts of migration labour, the vulnerable man for exploring men’s mental health and the starving artist cards for eating disorders and body image reflection. These offer a safe and creative space for individuals to explore their experiences with mental health journeys through prompts and reflective questions.
