The phrase “There are other fish in the sea” is a common English proverb that describes the vast number of potential partners or jobs, or options people have available to them. The phrase is used commonly to help people not to worry. However, what happens when we no longer have any fish in the sea? What happens then?

Muñoz, Lola. (2023). Peces Voladores, [mixed technique on canson paper]."Not Another Fish in the Sea" seeks to shed light on the pressing challenges faced by our oceans and marine life. Artists in this exhibition play on this cheeky title to highlight imminent issues facing our oceans and express their perspectives through various mediums, stressing the beauty, struggles, and importance of our water, sealife and the need to protect it.
